there are a few pictures that laura took last night when we [evan mellosonic, stephanie impossible, laura maumau and an lj boy whose name i don't remember] went to see michael tonydanza dj. his record collection MADE ME DROOL more than any other boy's record collection that i have ever seen. honestly, i gasped out loud far too many times. too bad the music wasn't being played super loud and the bar was kind of super obnoxious loud in addition to being super smoky. the combination of these facts with the fact evan and i were in the car far too long on the drive from toledo to mke made + the fact that everyone with us was feeling sick/tired, resulted in us leaving way early. this made aaron thefuckingvold and jon jond disappointed. oh bother.

today we woke up amazingly early and had lunch at chan cheng's, which is across the street from stephanie's place. num! then we drove to atomic records and then just drove around and found lake michigan? (is this the correct body of water, why can i not remember things correctly?), where we ran into a woman with two black labs [an 8 y/o and a pupppppppy] and i asked if i could take some photos. my digicam is getting a workout. then we skipped stones and took more photos of the lake at sunset. YAY! then we came back to get stephanie and took her out to dinner at a louise's trattoria. more yum! then stephanie and i sat in the car talking while evan ran around taking some night photography then we dropped her off and i went with evan and he took some more and i took a few. then we got FROZEN CUSTARD and came back and watched bad television. now they are sleeping and i am continuing to watch bad television. GET ME TO BED NOW!

side note: i just saw a psa by david schwimmer asking this question to parents, "do you know the sites they hit or better yet the people they talk to? you better!" then getting up and walking offscreen. wierd!

other news: yes i did break my postal service streak on the trip and i've listened to all but 4 of the 24 cds i brought with me. thankfully i bought a few cds at atomic. anyhow, i thought of a way to make up for lack of listening to it [well, i still listened to it twice this trip so far]: listen to it the entire way home from toledo, on whichever day that is!

evan looks really cute when he is sleeping, but he's sick sick sick. i am up watching carson now. i should definitely be sleeping. we're taking stephanie out to breakfast [maybe at george webb's] and then we hit the road back to toledo! oh no, justin timberlake is on carson. does laini know this? it's amazing how i associate laini with justin now. go go popstar boyfriends!
