"at least i spelled your name right..."

tonight + tomorrow = the dismemberment plan ! and les anorakgirl is djing backstage tonight, so i get to see her too!

i have a burned copy of the postal service in my car and it's on my playlist in winamp playing non-stop. oh god, the postal service. look what you're doing to me? you're making me unable to go to the real actual post office. oops - i have a bunch of packages to send out! i got back a little while ago from the doctor's office, where i had an appt with a nurse, who told me that i did not have strep [rapid strep test]. i have visible sores ON my tonsils. she told me to drink orange juice, and then spray chloraseptic (which she then gave me) towards the back of my throat to numb the pain. is there anything else i can do?

last night i pretty much baby sat my grandma, while my parents + bro went to the wizards game. god, i love her so much, but it's so hard seeing her in this state. my mother is a saint and pretty much has been sacrificing the life she usually leads, so she can take care of her mother, while she's staying with us. it's nothing short of amazing. i'm trying to help out whenever i can. sigh. we took her to see 'two weeks notice' yesterday and by the time we were home, she'd already forgotten we'd seen a movie. last night, we ate dinner, and i played the bright eyes christmas album and my grandmother asked who it was and i told her, then she started singing along! then we watched two movies: good advice [with charlie sheen], and charlotte gray [with cate blanchett]. i asked her if i should turn off good advice, since the opening scene was a sex scene, but she said, "no, just turn it up so i can hear the movie."
