i've actually had a nice week [oh, if you leave out that crying fit on thursday night, of course].
friday was q and not u/the scene creamers/aloha. they switched aloha and the scene creamers around, so we missed all but one song. DAMN IT! i was trying to miss the scene creamers, not ALOHA! G-D! anyways, the aloha boys were super nice and ding, shelly, and i all bought $5 aloha tees that they made themselves! go aloha boys! that reminds me that i *so* should have bought a mirah 'gay humping in your town' tee shirt for myself when i saw her. so many regrets, so little time. at that show, i saw absolutely everyone i met in the last 5 years except for john masters, lili, tom, french david, james fisher, kevin a., and you get the point..it was scene city. the show itself was really good! the scene creamers sucked, of course. q and not u were WAY better than when they opened for clinic at the 9:30 club. after that show i was seriously worried about whether or not they would suck that much ever again. on friday night they completely redeemed themselves [yay].
today shelly, ding, nancy, and i went to lunch at tastee freeze in laurel, md. that place was CRAZY. of course i took a carryout menu for my collection. then we went to 3 thrift stores and found some delicious things. i bought a winter coat, 2 soft sweaters, drive me crazy (the BOOK), 3 scarves, and i'm sure i bought some knick knack i am forgetting to mention. anyways, we rule the school. highlight of the thrifty experience today was: ding trying on clothing in the corner of the store, behind the dresses. yay!
after thrifting, we dropped off ding + nancy and exchanged them for dan and shannon and headed to the galaxy hut! YAY! i *so* got to see many of my favourite ppl in one day. this whole month so far has been GREAT for that! anyways, it wasn't that metropolitan weren't about the rock. au contraire - they were. we just weren't into it tonight, so we left halfway through their set! sorry boys! one day, i'll once again see an entire set! i finally met catherine shadesofautumn, who gave me good advice tonight as she ALWAYS does!
after saying our goodbyes (and realising there was really no reason to do this, as practically everyone there tonight will be at darren hanlon tomorrow), we went to four seasons and they ushered us to the corner table, in the other nearly empty room, so we can be a bit loud and not disturb the other side of the restaurant. oops! if i get banned from four seasons, i guarantee my heart will stop beating. after the your mom jokes died down, the four of us headed back to my house and played "i'll cut you" scrabble, which is just like normal scrabble, only during my turn when ppl were talking, i would whisper, "i'll cut you." hanging out with shelly these past few days has made me realise that she really should so be my roommate. i so need a real jobby job (as opposed to the one i have to be at in...oh, a few minutes less than 5 hours) so that can happen. or a sugar daddy.
