but his face is SCARY in 'the road to perdition'. OH SO SCARY. seriously...just wait and see!

but he plays a PHOTOGRAPHER??!!

to me, a guy with a camera is like a guy with a ..with a um.. a hot rod? are hot rods normally attractive? something like that.

oh! so glad someone else appreciates michael vartan in never been kissed. rawr! (one of the many reasons i can endlessly watch that movie.)

took a business trip in January to take a class, and my co-worker was convinced that one of my cute classmates looked like john cusak.....

.... in the plane ride home, there was an advertisement in the plane-magazine for one of cusak's movies ("america's sweethearts", I believe), and this co-worker ripped out the photo of cusak and handed it to me across the aisle.

"here's a picture of your boyfriend," he said.

and I tacked it up to my desk here. makes me chuckle every time I see it.

much, much better than having a picture of a real boyfriend at my desk -- fewer questions!

I saw Parker Posey on the street last year! She was the very first celebrity I saw in New York City. I wrote about it in my personal journal (pre-livejournal days)

At about 12:30pm, I was taking a walk up Fifth Avenue after having a healthy (!) lunch at McDonald's. I was just walking aimlessly, taking in the scenery--you can clearly see the Empire State building towering in the background. The weather's perfect; not too hot, not too cold. I was looking kinda spiffy (nerdy), in my work garb (charcoal dress shirt, slacks, and wire-framed glasses).

As I crossed 17th Street, I saw a cute girl in a tight pink shirt and tan pants talking on a pay phone. She was wearing Rollerblades. As reached the sidewalk, I noticed that the girl looked just like Parker Posey! I thought, "No way--it's just a girl that looks like her..." So I walked by like I was minding my own business.

I really thought that the girl looked amazingly like Parker Posey. I thought, "Nah--she would have a cell phone!" But, then I realized that carrying a cell phone while Rollerblading wouldn't be too practical. So I thought, what the hell--I had to take another look, just to make sure.

I pretended like I had to look at my watch, as if I had just realized that I had to be at a meeting or something (!). I turned around and walked back towards the girl in question.

The girl was still on the phone. This time, I looked really carefully--it was her! No doubt about it! I crossed 17th Street again, and then walked over to the corner to cross Fifth Avenue. Right before I crossed, Parker Posey whizzed on by, right in front of me on her Rollerblades.

I was then heading back to work (which was between 15th and 16th Streets). I had a spring in my step--I saw my first celebrity in New York! And it was Parker Posey, not someone cheesy like Jerry Springer or Hulk Hogan.

As I crossed 16th Street, I saw a girl in a pink shirt skating in my direction on Rollerblades--it was her again! As she skated on by; we made eye contact for a second...

Yep, the sun is shining today in New York City.
