1. Copy and paste your friends list.
2. If you've friended multiple journals by the same person, delete all but the "main" one.
3. Bold the name of everyone you know or have met in "real life."
4. Italicize the name of everyone you've spoken to on the phone. (i think this is silly)
5. Underline the name of everyone you've chatted with online. (i think this is silly)
6. [Bracket] people you've known, online or off, for more than five years.
7. Turn family members red (does not apply)
8. Pass it on.

it's still kind of ridiculous i haven't met some of my favorite lj friends: NORWEGIANS: benedikte headphones, CANADIANS: manda maimandasaura, stacey everisoverall, pamela ageofscience, jen smallestbones CALIFORNIANS: ch grassfire, michael michaelpop, christopher 01, kayte so_gracefully, OREGONIANS: amy triptothemoon. plus, i'd love to meet all of my crafty friends. i would really love to take a world tour of lj friends someday. wahey! you think i am kidding? no way.

i finally saw me and you and everyone we know. i loved it. miranda july is the american audrey tatou. the scene with her filming her shoes is so simple yet so poignant. if you don't catch it in the theatre, definitely rent it. it is heart-warming, yet disturbing. you can't say that about a lot of films. last night dan and i watched kung fu hustle, which was very entertaining. after going upstairs i finished watching disco pigs starring cillian murphy. i really don't know what to think of it. it felt kind of like 'trainspotting' since the opening had a surreal quality to it. i couldn't understand some of cillian's lines since his irish accent was so heavy. my favorite part (no joke) was the closing credits where a beautiful song played and i realized when reading the song credits that it was cillian singing and that he wrote the song as well. it's called 'so new'. i looked for a soundtrack and came up short. if you have this song, please get in touch with me! while we're on the topic of films/music, let me mention easy, which i rented thinking it was a chick flick, but i was superbly impressed with the storyline, acting, and also the soundtrack, which consists primarily of grant lee phillips songs.

similar movies (according to allmovie.com):
Playing by Heart (1998, Willard Carroll) (one of my favorite movies)
Charlotte Sometimes (2002, Eric Byler)
Walking and Talking (1996, Nicole Holofcener) (a good movie)
Born Romantic (2000, David Kane)
Reality Bites (1994, Ben Stiller) (one of my favorite movies)
Love & Sex (2000, Valerie Breiman) (one of my favorite movies)
Little Black Book (2004, Nick Hurran) (i actually really liked this)
Lawless Heart (2001, Tom Hunsinger, Neil Hunter)
Sleep with Me (1994, Rory Kelly) (this one is just meh)

one movie that i have watched recently that was just terrible, was THE RANCH, which i had added to my queue on blockbuster online because carly pope (sam from popular) is in it. it had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. i couldn't watch it all in one sitting. i actually had to force myself to finish it, yes, it was that bad that i nearly didn't resume watching it, which is QUITE a statement for someone who regularly sits through soul crushingly awful movies with her boyfriend. do not rent this movie unless you want to watch a vapid soap opera about a whorehouse in reno, nv.

i have not mentioned this fact yet in lj, but since dan and his video game systems moved in, i have been obsessed with katamari damacy. i mean, like, "oh, it's 5pm. i can go home and play!" i have always liked video games but i am definitely loving rolling things up into my katamari. i am now making star 8 (with dan's help beating 2 levels). i was saying that pretty much the best thing ever is if they made a live action katamari game where you could actually go to a huge warehouse and have a katamari with velcro (or something sticky) all over it and you could pick up things by rolling them up. i get the songs stuck in my head all day, which is a pleasant way to combat the girl diana has aptly named falsetto girl here.

Current Mood: chipper
Current Music: the clacking of keys/soft music coming from d's computer

i don't think we've known each other for more than about 4 years, deary. but i'm flattered that it has seemed like such a long chore knowing me. :P

Don't EVER tell Dan that you have that rolling-ball game (what we always call it) because he LOVES it like I can't tell you and will go nuts if he finds out you have it. Seriously, the boy's obsessed.

Yet again, its another good reason to invite us over to show off the new place...

You are now the 4892342389th person to use "))><((" in relation to an entry about that movie. I swear I just want to see it now to get the joke!

I'm sure that if you made it to Cali (to Cali, to Cali) that Kayte, Chris and I could sync schedules to hang with you. Make it happen, Leigh!

Oh, Leigh! Do take a tour and visit meeeee! I have similar ambitions of doing a little round-North America tour to visit all the internet people I love, and you are definitely on the list. Who knows, maybe when I graduate it can happen!
