storage ideas to be placed atop the tv stand

does anyone have any ideas for adding storage space to the low end of one of those ikea dromme tv stands (here's another picture: ikea). i mean, i think we all really like the thing, but it's not the best thing to store our media in. the media we need to store: dvds, a load of vhs tapes, and various video games. i need something that we can place on the left side of the tv stand. i found something at target that seems like a possibility called the qbit storage system. anyways, one piece of it is . any other ideas? help!
