"i gave my heart to a simple chord."

"i fell in love with the sweet sensation.
i gave my heart to a simple chord.
i gave my soul to a new religion.
whatever happened to you?
whatever happened to our rock 'n' roll?"

-whatever happened to my rock 'n' roll (black rebel motorcycle club)

last night was one of the most bizarre and delightful nights i have had in a very long time. i got back at 8:00 in the morning, according to my pager at least. in reality, due to daylight savings time, it was 9:00. and apparently, i was scheduled to *open* blockbuster this morning, when i'd written down in my planner that i was closing. basically, i got two hours of sleep. but do i regret my insane last night? not in the least.

i went to upside down @ the metro cafe, then to a party at my friend john w's place, then back to the metro cafe to pick up karyn and drop her off at her apt., then to the diner [but i didn't eat there], then to wings and things [mm], then to the lincoln memorial, and the vietnam veteran's memorial...amoung other things. most of these things were done in the company of a delightful boy who i met at the party who was wearing a skinny brown tie + an off yellow shirt and a red puffy jacket and ninja shoes. oh and he was wearing pants as well, grey in colour. he has lovely hair. and i wonder if he will ring me before i break down and ring him.

on saturday at now! i got:

the ecstacy of st. theresa - in dust 3 cd [czech import]
ben lee - grandpaw would cd
leslies - s/t cd

on friday i got a promo sampler of the B.R.M.C. and i seriously have listened to that thing at *least* 30 times. do i jest? not one bit. christina is here + we are going to see metropolitan rock out. if we get there in time.

i used to have a diaryland and this used to be there, but i decided to move all of my entries here.
