if i had my own place, then julie doiron and rosie thomas and rosie thomas' brother could have stayed there. sigh. i wish i could've been there for one of my idols. julie is such an absolutely amazing woman. there are few people i keep in the "i wanna be like" file and she's certainly one of them. she is touring while 6 months pregnant [with her 3rd child]. she's so so cool. she didn't even flinch that i made the biggest bonehead error ever! i requested a song that she had already played [sweeter] and i felt like *such* a dolt! she had started her set with it and i was in such a rush to press record on the videocamera and on my cassette recorder that i must have toned it out. either that or the fact that up until the hour before leaving for the show i'd been listening to nothing but julie all day. anyways, she's so neat and her show was [as always] awesome. and her new album 'heart and crime' is really really nice. more like the will you still love me ep than the julie doiron and the wooden stars album. back to the basics. which is all you need, really.

after julie i drove back to arlington, dropped jess off at her car at the cat clinic, drove to the galaxy hut to see currituck co. and aden. aden have appealed to me a lot more lately. at the dcfc show on halloween when aden opened, i think that was the best time i'd seen them. this was good tho. and jeff's girlfriend cheryl, who is like a half asian version of audrey tatou, did a duet with him. they're one of the cutest couples around in my opinion. why do couples who look similar always seem so cute?
