weekend of awesome.

book, pg 161 (seen on christa's journal)

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open it to page 161.
3. Post the text of the 5th complete sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
4. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Use what's actually next to you.

"Perhaps nonexistent."

"The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami.

2008-04-20

for being from a murakami novel, what a short sentence i wound up with above. this weekend was great spending time with my 'rents and nancy. nancy actually took this photo, but i made it the photo of the day anyways. whatevs. it was a great weekend filled with activity and food and fun. it was rachel's birthday so we went out dancing on saturday night for soul night at the hideout. man it was awesome. what a good weekend. i am really, really exhausted, but jen and i are planning to walk back from work because it's been lovely today. i've really been journaling a lot IN my flickr photos of the day because i do those every single day. http://www.flickr.com/photos/madflowr/sets/72157603603991422/

i ended up with the opposite - a dreadfully long, run-on sentence...

there is an advance copy of Murakami's newest book that hasn't been published waiting for me at home. one of the buyers at the bookstore where i used to work lent it to me... i can't believe i haven't found time to read it yet!

she's been recommended, but i forget whether or not i tried to read one of her books...

i've been heavy on the flickr, too, i haven't posted in my Other journal in months, just posting photos instead. it's less pressure somehow.

amrita and goodbye tsugumi are my two faves by her. the shorter ones are good, but the ones with weight i got so much more wrapped up in.
