operation N.A.I.R.

today my mom helped my brother NAIR his back hair. oh my god. what a thing to wake up to. i think this was just the gods saying, "leigh...really, you've gotta get out of this house."

i applied for 3 jobs online on hotjobs today. honestly, all i really really want is a job where i can listen to music on headphones and do something mindless like data entry or organizing mailings or even filing paperwork all day long. honestly, i would be happy doing any of those things all day long if i was allowed to listen to music.

last night was craft night with 3/4 of the sha-sha-sha-shaw society at laini's. it went swimmingly after we had a slow start. tonight is black eyes/southkill/thee snuff project @ fort reno. i am going with miss jennifer and her sexy self. i know i'll see a bunch of you up there.

Current Mood: hopeful
Current Music: my dad playing 'eleanor rigby' on the piano

i would so totally be fine with a job like that too. i did data entry once and i loved it because i got to listen to headphones ALL DAY LONG, didn't have to talk to people, and there were no customers to deal with.

also, nair... haha. my sociology professor mentioned nair today (in talking about gender roles) and i was reminded how gross that stuff is.

so what's up with the sprites tour!? any word?

xx

that sort of job really isn't all that bad, as long as there's always plenty to do, and you don't have to interact with others. The worst jobs I've ever had were the ones where I've had to listen to OTHER peoples' music.

Good luck.

that's exactly how i feel. and i say it all the time. i simply want any ol' mindless job where i can just listen to music and pretend i'm not there. i don't want to interact with people. organising mailings would be a dream job for me and i've wanted to work at the post office for years, but there's never anything available. :( good luck with finding your perfect mindless job!

Um, the job where I work is hiring for that very thing!

You can listen to your own music ALL DAY!

And it's actually fairly lax for data entry too...

Though I work in the call center portion of it.
